Night Diving

First of all, it is important to know whether diving is for you or not or what actually diving is all about. Diving is for those who say they can do it and are not scared of diving and swimming under deep water. The Night Diving is more challenging. To some people, even the day diving seems impossible. The purpose of diving varies from person to person as some people just want to experience it once in their life while some take it as a career and take it very seriously.

Safety should be the priority when it comes to diving especially at night, and this requires learning and special skills. There are many institutes and diving schools that offer the diving courses under the supervision of skilled instructors. They train how to keep yourself safe while diving at night and various techniques of night diving.

The Night Diving or Nocturnal Diving are the two names of the same type of diving. Some of the creatures of the aquatic world are awake at night, only night diving provides you the opportunity to see the night-life of the aquatic world. All you need is to have a PADI Junior Open Water Diver Certification. The minimum age requirement for this Specialty Night Diving Course is 12 years. The general requirement of diving is that a person should be physically fit. It is highly recommended to have a medical examination before going for scuba diving. The person should not be an asthma or epilepsy patient. A pregnant woman is not eligible to do diving at all.

The Night Diving requires proper planning, techniques, and procedures. The course of Night Diving comprises of 3 dives (the night dive of the advance course may count as one dive), in which dive lights, navigation buddy systems, buoyancy control, communication, disorientation and nocturnal marine life are covered.

The equipments that are used for Night Diving are entirely different and include PADI Night Diving manual, full scuba gear with submersible pressure gauge and an alternate air source, compass, whistle, dive timer, slate with pencil, Primary and Backup Dive Lights and a knife. The selection of the destination is totally up to your decision as there are many choices available. It all depends on the region you live in and the nearer location for diving.

People, who already dive during the day time, when they dive at night find it entirely different. The changing colors of the octopus, some fishes sleeping on the bottom while some wrapped in protected cocoons, coral polyps, and basket stars open up to feed, the lobsters and crabs crawl about in the open. Who would like to miss such a beauty? Of course, no one would like to miss it. The diving is a bit expensive activity, but when it comes to fun, money does not count. It just requires a particular type of temperament and skills. Rest you should leave on your trainers, and get ready for the adventure to experience.
